Five people were killed and 30 others injured, including two children, after Russia launched a massive overnight combined missile and drone attack on the Ukrainian capital on June 15.

Damage and fires have been reported across all city districts, with emergency services deployed to approximately 50 strike locations.

Among the primary targets was the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, a UNESCO World Heritage site under “enhanced protection” status under the Hague Convention. A massive 800-square-meter fire broke out on the roof of the historic Assumption Cathedral. Nearby, another fire was reported at the Mystetskyi Arsenal, one of Ukraine’s most significant cultural institutions. The Oleksandr Dovzhenko National Film Studio was also struck during the attack.

The attack completely destroyed Nova Post’s largest innovation terminal in Kyiv. According to preliminary reports, no employees at the logistics hub were injured.
